2024 AGP Finals

 

AGP Finals Date & Location

 

  • AGP Finals 2024 will be held on 11-16 August, 2024, at AKSRA THEATER, Bangkok, Thailand.

  • Details of the Finals will be announced to the candidates directly.

AGP Finals Registration

 

  • AGP Finals is open to the invited candidates only. 

  • Registration details will be announced to the candidates directly.

  • Finals registration fee: HK$4,500

 

Health condition

 

AGP values physical and psychological health in dancers, which is essential to a long-term dance career. Candidates must provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding their condition of health by filling in a health questionnaire as part of the online registration.

 

AGP Finals Procedure

 

  • Master Classes by renown ballet experts as well as by the members of the jury will be held during the period, which are compulsory to attend.

  • There will be Final - 1st Rounds held on Day 2 to Day 5 to select the candidates for the Final - Final Round held on Day 6.

  • Performance A & B candidates - must perform one Classical Ballet Solo from AGP 2024 Classical Variation List and perform with the music provided by AGP.  No alteration of the music is allowed.

  • Junior A & B, Senior candidates - must perform one Classical Ballet Solo from AGP 2024 Classical Variation List and one Contemporary Ballet Solo (following the set choreography provided by AGP).  Contemporary choreography information will be released after all the AGP Global Regionals are completed in June 2024.  There will be contemporary rehearsal sessions offered by the choreographers during the event. 

 

AGP Finals Scholarships and Awards

 

  • Asian Grand Prix Award - offered to candidates aged 15 to 19 who demonstrate exceptional standard of artistry and technique in class and on stage during competition. Winner receives a trophy, a certificate, and HK$60,000 in cash.

 

  • Youth Asian Grand Prix Award - offered to candidates aged 13 to 17 who demonstrate exceptional standard of artistry and technique in class and on stage during competition. Winner receives a trophy, a certificate, and HK$40,000, as a relief fund for his/her dance education.

 

  • AGP Finals Scholarship and Direct Entry - offered by renowned international dance institutes, to candidates who demonstrate high potential of becoming future professional dancers during competition.
     

  • Gold/ Silver/ Bronze Medals – offered to candidates in each division, who demonstrate high standards of artistry and technique in class and on stage during competition. Each winner receives a medal, a certificate, and cash stated as below:
    Gold Medal HK$5,000
    Silver Medal HK$3,000
    Bronze Medal HK$1,000

 

  • Sponsor Prizes - offered by sponsors to recognize a candidate's potential in dance. Each recipient receives a certificate and a gift item.
