Head of Ballet of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts


Ou Lu graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy and joined The National Ballet of China as Principal Dancer.  In 1988, he completed his BFA Degree and worked at the Beijing Dance Academy.  Ou Lu was awarded Artist at First Rank of the People’s Republic of China in 1989.  He also received the Special Contribution Awards by The Ministry of Culture of China in 1986, 1987 and 1989.   In 1992, Ou Lu joined The Royal New Zealand Ballet as a Principal Artist and was later appointed as Ballet Master and Assistant Director of the company. In 2001, he was honored by Her Majesty, the Queen of England, as a “Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit” in recognition of his services to The Royal NZ Ballet.

In 2003, Ou Lu returned to China to take over the directorship at the Ballet Department of The Beijing Dance Academy.   He received the “Distinguished Professor Award” of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission in 2006, 2007 and 2008.


Ou Lu is currently the Head of Ballet at the School of Dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

歐鹿畢業於北京舞蹈學院,其後加入中國中央芭蕾舞團任首席演員。1988年以優異的成績畢業於北京舞蹈學院芭蕾舞教育系獲學士學位,畢業後在北京舞蹈學院芭蕾舞專業附中任教。  1989年獲「國家一級演員」榮譽,並多次獲文化部頒發「特殊貢獻獎」。


1992年加入紐西蘭皇家芭蕾舞團為首席舞蹈員,其後獲委任為排練導師及副總監。2001年獲英女皇伊利沙伯二世頒發“Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit” (MNZM) 獎章,以表揚其在紐西蘭皇家芭蕾舞團之貢獻。

歐鹿在2003年回到中國,任教於北京舞蹈學院芭蕾舞系,於2006、2007、2008獲北京市教育委員會「傑出教授獎」,離任時為芭蕾舞系主任。  自2011年至今,任香港演藝學院芭蕾舞系主任。
