Miwa So

Miwa's talent was recognized early at thirteen when she won the first prize in the Tokyo Ballet Competition. She graduated from the Beijing Dance Academy in 1989. After graduation she danced with Hong Kong Ballet for four years and moved to Singapore Dance Theatre in 1993, where she danced principal roles in most of the company’s repertories. In 1995 Horikawa returned to Japan to pursue her career further in her own country, where she joined Naniwatsu Ballet Company in Osaka. While dancing and teaching, Horikawa created many new works for the company and for students taking part in ballet international and regional competitions. 2001 Horikawa established her own company (Kansai Dance Arts) and her ballet studio in Osaka. from 2003 to 2012, she was invited as the Ballet Mistress at the Takarazuka Musical Company.
