Eriko's journey to becoming a celebrated ballet dancer began early, marked by exceptional talent and unwavering dedication. Her numerous accolades, starting with the National Ballet Competition in Japan and the prestigious IBM Scholarship at the Asia Pacific Ballet Competition in 1987, underscored her prodigious abilities. These early achievements served as a springboard for her burgeoning career, propelling her onto the international stage.

In 1993, Eriko's exceptional artistry and technical prowess earned her the first prize at the Festival of Ballet organized by International Ballet of Luxemburg, where she also received the Ministry of Cultural Special Award. This recognition solidified her reputation as a rising star in the ballet world, opening doors to further opportunities and collaborations.

Eriko's captivating stage presence, characterized by soulful expressions and flawless technique, enthralled audiences worldwide. As a Principal Dancer of the Hong Kong Ballet, she embodied the company's artistic vision, representing them with grace and distinction on prestigious international stages. Her significant contributions to the company's repertoire and reputation were acknowledged with the Ballet Master's Award, a testament to her exceptional talent and unwavering commitment.

In 2004, Eriko's enduring impact on the dance community was recognized with the Outstanding Contribution to Dance Award at the Hong Kong Dance Award. This prestigious accolade celebrated her artistic achievements, her dedication to the art form, and her role as an inspiration to aspiring dancers. Her legacy was further cemented when she was featured in the Hong Kong Dance Hall of Fame by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, an honor reserved for those who have made significant and lasting contributions to the field of dance.

Even after retiring from the stage, Eriko's passion for ballet remained undiminished. She transitioned into a new phase of her career, sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience as a Senior Ballet Teacher at the Hong Kong Youth Ballet Academy and a faculty member at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering the next generation of ballet dancers is also evident in her role as Ballet Mistress of the Asian Grand Prix International Ballet Competition.
