While the foundation of the choreography is standardized, opportunities for individual interpretation during the performance are encouraged.
For female candidates, emphasize a delicate, graceful delivery, characterized by fluid and expressive movements. Seek to embody an ethereal beauty and agility, with a specific focus on the lightness and flow of each step. In contrast, male candidates should project power and stability, exhibiting strength and control through sharp, crisp movements. Attention should be given to the energy and impact of each step.
An emotional connection to the music is vital for "Poem," as the dance is intrinsically linked to its score. Candidates are encouraged to transcend technical execution and allow genuine emotions to surface, resonating with the music's rhythm, melody, and emotional depth. This integration of authentic feeling will significantly enrich the performance.
