BALLET INTENSIVE PROGRAM

Manila

Founded in 2012, the Asian Grand Prix (AGP) Ballet Intensive Program (BIP) presents a unique and invaluable opportunity for aspiring ballet dancers. Offered as a supplementary week of rigorous dance training immediately together with the esteemed Asian Ballet Competition hosted by AGP, the BIP provides a comprehensive and immersive educational experience. Participants benefit from an intensive curriculum encompassing a diverse range of essential dance disciplines. Daily classes in classical ballet form the core of the program, focusing on technique, alignment, and artistry. Students delve into classical repertoire, learning iconic variations and pas de deux, gaining crucial performance skills and historical understanding. Exploration of contemporary ballet exposes dancers to innovative movement vocabulary and fosters versatility. Character dance classes introduce the stylistic nuances and cultural richness of various folk dance traditions, broadening their artistic horizons. Complementary body conditioning sessions are integrated to enhance strength, flexibility, and injury prevention. A significant and highly anticipated element of the BIP is its culmination in a final performance, providing participants with a platform to showcase their progress and newly acquired skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. Since its inception, the AGP Ballet Intensive Program has played a pivotal role in nurturing emerging talent within the ballet world. Demonstrating its commitment to fostering the next generation of dancers, the BIP has awarded hundreds of scholarships to promising individuals who have exhibited exceptional talent, dedication, and future potential, enabling them to pursue further training at prestigious dance institutions worldwide. The program serves not only as an intensive training period but also as a crucial stepping stone for young dancers seeking to embark on professional ballet careers.
